Cinema, Professions and Robotics
Ages 9 to 12
At WonderFUN we have grown alongside our students. Therefore, we have developed a continuation course for our method – suited for pupils aged from 9 to 12 (from 4th to 6th grade) – with activities that are more attractive for their age group: Cinema, Professions and Robotics.
The idea behind these three activities is to allow boys and girls to discover their skills and abilities in order for them to realise what they like and what they want to do when they grow up. As always, this is achieved while playing and speaking English.
In Cinema we make a short-film using different techniques. We do everything from creating the scenography and costumes to developing the characters. Our students learn basic photography skills and how to write a complete script for their own short film with the aim of improving their spoken and written English skills.
In Professions we play with wood, light bulbs, cables and screws. We focus on the most artisan professions and trades, and in each class, we present a problem which motivates the students to look for different solutions which encourages curiosity and creativity.
In Robotics we develop our abilities to playfully solve challenges as a team while working with concepts from the fields of mathematics, physics, science and technology. Through observing, reasoning, and predicting, the students will begin to understand what engineering and science are all about. We create robots and take our first steps in computer programming.
